COVID-19 Alert Level 3 Update

At Alert Level 3 we are unable to open our shop doors to customers and all transactions must be by providing a contactless service.

Can I still get my clothes altered or repaired under Alert Level 3?
Yes, we can accept garments for alteration and repair under Alert Level 3; however, this must be pre-arranged and contactless. This means all communications must be via phone / text / email / website message / Facebook message when booking your clothing in for alterations/repairs.

Can you pin up my alterations under Alert Level 3?
If your garments need to be pinned up, you must do this yourself, then place it/them in a bag with a note attached including your name, phone number and a full description of what work is required. The garments can then be left outside the shop door for us at a prearranged day and time.

What if I must stay at home and cannot get out?
If you are unable to drop the items off at the shop and you live within the Whangarei CBD we can arrange to have them collected from your doorstep and couriered back to you (for a prearranged fee).

How do I collect my clothes when they are finished?
When alterations/repairs are completed, and garments are ready for pick up this must again be prearranged and contactless, garments can either be couriered (for a prearranged fee) or left outside the shop for pickup at a prearranged day and time once payment is received.

If payments must be made contactless during Alert Level 3, How do I pay?
Payments can only be made via internet banking and must be received before garments can be collected or couriered. We will contact you once the work is completed and advise you of the price and bank details for payment. If required, we can contact you before the work is commenced to provide an estimate of costs.

When can you open the shop to customers?
As a service that requires close personal contact we can only resume fittings for alterations and dressmaking (with appropriate health measures in place) under Alert Level 2.

Alterations & Clothing Repairs

We provide alteration services for most Men’s, Women’s and Children’s wear.

Our service includes shortening and lengthening hems, zip replacement and general clothing repairs – if you’re not sure, give us a call.

Have you bought that special garment online and it’s too long or doesn’t quite fit? Bring it in and we can make the appropriate adjustments for you.

Homeware – curtains, cushions and tablecloths can be made and altered as required.
